84/21 TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCALISM ACT 2111

85/21 - POLICE REPORT – One crime to report since the last meeting:
19/10/21 Assault, Cemetery Road – under investigation.
86/21 - NOTES OF LAST MEETING – Were signed as a true copy, to become minutes. Proposed Cllr Bateson seconded Cllr Kelly.
87/21 - TO RECEIVE AN UPDATE FROM THE CLERK.
Following on from Cllr Pell’s comment regarding the completion of the works in the cemetery, the contractor could not confirm one way or another. They will now issue a ‘when at what done’ report. Place, time started, time finished, what completed.
S/L 8 requires replacing. BBC confirmed column is sufficient in its present state but should a new one be required in the future; the new lamp can be used again.
Update from Cllr Cooper - BBC is to send a representative to inspect relevant trees in the village regarding any works. Cllr Chapman informed, and the residents advised.
Update from Cllr Brookes regarding potential hazard on A17/A52 roundabout. Jon Sharpe the Principal Development Manager Officer at LCC Highways has been made aware of the Parish Council’s concerns. Will investigate when next passing and report back to Cllr Brookes. Nothing has yet been received.
88/21 UPDATE ON CHRISTMAS ARRANGEMENTS. APPROVE LIGHTS PURCHASE
Village Hall Committee had not held a meeting since the last Parish Council, so no possibility of the Christmas tree being discussed or approved. Due to the lateness, it was agreed to organise Christmas next year, starting sooner in the year.
89/21 - ALLOTMENT UPDATE
Invoices are now sent.
90/21 - FINANCE REPORT
Approve Council payments as per schedule
Prop Cllr Bateson seconded Cllr Mountain.
Discussions took place regarding next year’s precept. Due to work commitments at this time of the year, all agreed for the clerk to put together budgets and projections to forward to Councillors for discussion at the January meeting. No December meeting. Clerk to obtain quotes for cleaning war memorial and repairing/replacing surrounding area. Clerk to try to ascertain ownership of trees in the village and whether to allow a budget each year for maintenance works.
91/21 - PLANNING
Only three for tree works.
92/21 - MEMBERS REPORTS –
Nothing further to report.
93/21 - CORRESPONDENCE -
Thank you letter from the local representative of RBL for your generous donation.
94/21 - ANY OTHER BUSINESS –
Trees down in playing field and cemetery. Malc Firth quoted £300 to clear in playing field. A member of the public has offered to clear away but carries no public liability. Cllr Bateson to ask Mr. Trotter, a qualified arborist for a quote. Delegated powers to Chair and Clerk to approve works when the second quote is received. Proposed Cllr Bateson, seconded Cllr Mountain. Also, to request a quotation to survey the trees in the park regarding future maintenance. £350 already quoted.
