Minutes of the meeting held on Thursday 8th November 2018 at the Methodist Church Hall.

PUBLIC FORUM

Mr Webster requesting if grant applications had been made for Triton Knoll and National Grid. Nothing as yet. Next deadline date 1st May 2019. Clerk to pursue village sign, white railings and new play equipment. Mrs Webster Black Sluice IDB had done an excellent job on drains but appear to have stopped at Village Hall. Coun Brookes advised there is another two weeks work.

Deliveries to Iconic Stone causing problems in village.

90 APOLOGIES - were received and accepted from Coun Chapman, Adshead and Boston Borough Coun Cooper

91 POLICE REPORT – despite contact from clerk nothing received.

92 NOTES OF LAST MEETING – Were signed as a true copy, to become minutes.

93 TO RECEIVE UPDATE FROM CLERK.

War Memorial completed. Dog bin erected in Friest Lane.

Clerk advised acknowledgements of planning comments are received. Mrs Webster advised she had contacted planning who had confirmed no comments received from Parish Council. Clerk had done this too and received confirmation that comments had been received. Presumably not same applications.

94 TO DISCUSS/APPROVE CEMETERY BINS.

Confirmation received that Boston Borough Council were not prepared to donate another bin. Brown bins only collect from April to November so not a viable proposition. To work with the existing one bin to see if it is sufficient.

95 SUBSTATION UPDATE – complaints of construction traffic diverting through village, clerk had confirmation this was wind farm and not National Grid. Next pop in for update from Triton Knoll 21st November in village hall from 5pm to 7pm.

Hedges had been cut back at last.

96 ALLOTMENT UPDATE

Couns Barnes and Carrott declared an interest being Trustees to the Charity that own the land. Coun Pell requested update on releasing part of allotment back to Charity. There had been no meeting since last Parish Council.

97 FINANCE REPORT - £25794.27

Approve payments as per schedule presented. Donation received from Bicker Preparatory School.

B/18/0403 Trees works Vine House, Red Lion Street.

B18/0415 Turners – installation of solar panels.

No objections to either

99 MEMBERS REPORTS

Coun Pell – playing field sign too small/high and second one required on gate in School Lane. Sign to be moved to hand gate and second sign purchase for School Lane entrance.

Grassed area at Morley Lane a mess with mud on footpath.

White fencing in Morley Lane is coming away from posts.

100 CORRESPONDENCE -

Circulated Black Sluice Consultation

Boston Borough Council review of polling stations, no need to change venue from Village Hall.

101 ANY OTHER BUSINESS –

Still continuing problems with inconsiderate footballers in the playing field. Agreed that goal at Lowgate Lane end of the field be removed.

It was agreed in general there is a problem with speeding traffic through the village.

Clerk to apply to Lincs Road Safety Partnership for initially speed warning signs.
