37/19 - APOLOGIES - were received and accepted from Coun Barnes

38/19 TO RECEIVE DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCALISM ACT 2011

Coun Carrott and Chapman for allotments, as Trustees to the Charity that owns the land. Coun Chapman – discussing Triton Knoll funding, being Chair of Village Hall Committee who are also putting in an application.

Coun Benjamin for owning land which may form part of substation.

39/19 - POLICE REPORT – theft of a van in Mill Lane. Over 40 thefts across the County over one weekend.

Advised problems in park had started again. Police advised people MUST report to 101 when problems can be logged.

40/19 - NOTES OF LAST MEETING – Were signed as a true copy, to become minutes. Proposed Coun Benjamin seconded Coun Carrott.

41/19 - TO RECEIVE UPDATE FROM CLERK.

Notice board has arrived and permission given from housing association.

42/19 TO DISCUSS IDEAS FOR TRITON KNOLL FUNDING

Couns Benjamin and Chapman left the meeting. Suggestions given to Sue Fortune and although all grant criteria felt there would be a good uptake on applications this round so reduce to playing area, village sign and fencing.

Couns Benjamin and Chapman returned to the meeting.

43/19 TO DISCUSS/APPROVE TREE WORKS IN CEMETERY ROAD

Quotation received for damaged/dead trees in Cemetery Road and Churchyard of £1050.

Highways nor Black Sluice IDB would not take responsibility but Parish Council concerned what would happen if one fell and caused damage. Coun Cooper suggested legal advice be sought. If unregistered land, Crown is responsible.

44/19 - SUBSTATION UPDATE

Coun Cooper advised TK looking to work 7 days a week for light vehicles only between 7 and 5. Still trying to keep to deadline in October for switch off for connection to National Grid.

45/19 - ALLOTMENT UPDATE

New tenant had agreed to proposals for the discounted rent of £214.

Annual Governance Statement distributed previously and was signed following approval.

Annual Governance Statement distributed previously and was signed following approval.

48/19 - MEMBERS REPORTS –

Coun Benjamin reiterates damage at Butlers Bridge

Coun Pell been approached by resident opposite park, problems occurring again.

Following Police advised it was agreed to advertise 101 around the village particularly to residents in playing field area.

Garlic smells from JDM quite putrid at times. Coun Cooper advised company had invested, quite extensively into a carbon contamination unit to try and alleviate problems.

Sign on Highways advertising Slimming World, to be reported to Highways.

Monument Road, footway to hedge requires attention. Coun Benjamin to check if it forms part of contractor’s areas.
